We are team 16253, BEAST Robotics. BEAST stands for “Be Excellent At Science and Technology.” Our team started in the summer of 2019 with about eight members. We wanted to start early to familiarize ourselves with the parts of the robot and to get used to the other people on the team. We tried to partner with Pine Creek High School, but none of the teachers were willing, so we work out of the McLean’s home. As time went on and school started, fewer and fewer members were able to make it to the meetings. Students have joined and left as their situations changed, but now our team is comprised of eight people who make up the Beast Robotics that we are today.
To help foster an appreciation for STEM among students and the community.
Perseverance: We're always finding ways to continuously seek out opportunities and overcome challenges.
Innovation: We focus on finding creative solutions for opportunities and problems.
Student Focus: Our team is always centered around student ideas and developing life skills.
Inspiration: We want our students to have fun; we're encouraging students to pursue STEM education and careers and boosting student morale through friendships.
We want to build connections with schools and FLL programs through demos.
And we want to get to state championships by building and improving an efficient robot and creating an impressive notebook.
